Things Don't Always Go Your Way.

They almost never do. You make a plan and have your whole life figured out. This is what's going to happen. This is how my life will be. I will grow old and die with this person and all my children and grandchildren will be happy healthy and nothing will ever go wrong.....

Sure, you know it may get rough, but in the end you think about how it's all going to end. At least how you want it to end. So often it doesn't happen that way. Things change, people get sick, die or split apart, grow away from each other. No matter how you plan it.

In the end we are all given opportunities for a good life. No matter how it turns. We are given an opportunity and it plays itself to its inevitable end. How we use it is up to us. Do we ignore it? Do we grab it and hold on for dear life? Do we just ride until we get tired or fall off? Do we even recognise it when it comes to us?

Every opportunity takes us where we need to be, brings us to the people we need to be with and helps us through the turmoil that is our lives, everyday. See the open door and take it.....

That's how I found ep. I saw a crack and pushed open the door. I was afraid at first and unsure. I had been thrown from my last opportunity into another. I led a great life for 16 years because I took the opportunity presented. I had to fight for it and when I took it as mine I was happy. I expanded it and loved it and it became me. Now it was finished. It had run it's course and I still had so many more on my plate to ride out, but I couldn't see them for the blinding, black pit left by the biggest opportunity of my life. Then that crack showed up.

In it I found people. People from every walk of life and every experience I had ever experienced and so many from places and experiences that I had never even imagined before. I became rich with experiences and people and......new opportunities.....new friends. They lifted the darkness from me and showed me that I still had opportunities waiting for me to finish them. I was a robot, an automaton going through the motions and all of these people showed me that I was more.

Everything happens for a reason.... opportunities come to you for a reason. People come to you for a reason. Life has its reasons, even if we don't know what they are. Sometimes, if we're lucky, we find out why. I did this time and it has made all the difference for me.

yes, whether you are a person of faith or a faithful person of life itself..... everything has its purpose and reason. Ordained or not our lives have reason.
You are one of my most pleasant opportunities, LV. And I adore your friendship.

This is a great story, I found EP while I was desperate, lonely and sad.
And now I have friends who make life bright, I believe things happen for a reason too.

LOL I am over-rated!

You are a beautiful soul! God bless!
