One way that truth is really important to me is the unknowable ‘truth’ exposed to me when I write. I am a very experienced academic writer and editor. I have also been teaching writing for about 8 years, and through the combination of these experiences I have reached many milestones as a writer.

As I write more, ways of expressing myself appear from somewhere in my mind, the source of which is never really revealed to me.

There is no way to describe this experience in words that are meaningful. I believe that this is the ‘same’ truth that artists, poets, scientists—or anyone who searches with his/her heart and mind for the very best inside—find.

While writers, or other artists cannot describe how they do what they do, their ‘truths’ are revealed in their work. So profound is this truth that we can only stand in stunned silence when we encounter the works of a true master. And, yet as a writer, I can tell you that it is not the product which is important to the artist; it is the unknowable process.

As humans, we may strive all our lives to reveal these truths inside ourselves. Luckily, we have nature all around us to show us the way. What could be more unimaginably and indescribably beautiful than a child’s smile, the wind in our hair on a summer’s day, or the sun setting on a perfect afternoon.

    You're right.

Where do your thoughts come from . . . well of course some come from you, some come from mental image pictures in your mind that you created and others comes from mental image pictures in your mind which others created. Main point is you can be in charge over them if you are knowledgeable enough and strong enough.and productive enough in life. Just ignore the inner negative stuff. Best thing is to skip them and live in the moment! :-)
