I Know ItI know that God is taking care of me. If He weren't, I would have been aborted when my parents found out they were pregnant. If God were not taking care of me, I wouldn't have survived the terrifying, abusive childhood of an unwanted child. If God had abandoned me, I would never have lived through the problems I've had with physical and mental health my whole life. If God didn't want to take care of me, I would be even less able to cope with the poverty in which I now live.
But God has always taken care of me, and has given me many gifts. The gift of love for children, which I never felt. The gift of knowing how to give security and safety to others. The gift of understanding mental and physical disabilities in others, and helping those others to deal with them. The gifts of unselfishness and generosity, which enable me to gladly help people in more distressed circumstances than I find myself. For these gifts, and many more, I thank Him daily. He has loved me and taken care of me from the moment of my conception, and I consider myself immensely blessed.
