I Know It

I know that God is taking care of me. If He weren't, I would have been aborted when my parents found out they were pregnant. If God were not taking care of me, I wouldn't have survived the terrifying, abusive childhood of an unwanted child. If God had abandoned me, I would never have lived through the problems I've had with physical and mental health my whole life. If God didn't want to take care of me, I would be even less able to cope with the poverty in which I now live.

But God has always taken care of me, and has given me many gifts. The gift of love for children, which I never felt. The gift of knowing how to give security and safety to others. The gift of understanding mental and physical disabilities in others, and helping those others to deal with them. The gifts of unselfishness and generosity, which enable me to gladly help people in more distressed circumstances than I find myself. For these gifts, and many more, I thank Him daily. He has loved me and taken care of me from the moment of my conception, and I consider myself immensely blessed.

I could relate to all that you have written in this post. Please message me. god bless. Hug hug

Thank you all for your wonderful supportive comments! I have God in my life on a daily basis, He is always there. I talk to Him all the time, and more importantly, follow His guidance always. I honestly cannot understand all the people who say they don't believe there is a God: how do they get through life? Are they happy? Who is there to listen when nobody else will, to comfort when nobody else has the time, to always be available to help? Most importantly, who else is always there wanting to aid and comfort and offer support? Although I have a very strong Christian identity, I don't care what you call God. God is big enough for everyone, in whatever culture, to call him by whatever name he's called in that culture or religion. Just have faith that He is there. All you have to do is open your eyes.

You are very articulate and intelligent, too, Sugar, You have been through so much and I can feel your pain in your writing..so looking forward to talking more!

I thank God forevery thing in my life everyday. I couldnt imagine my life without Him !!!!
