Celebrities On Drug Offense Parole Often Play It As Their Biggest Losing Role

SCRAM BRACELET'S FOR AN ADDICT ON PAROLE IS A WASTE OF TIME
This bracelet should be worn AFTER a person's sentence not PRE-sentence.

Why Addicts with  Repeat Drug Offenses....
Don't Need Parole
Don't Need Prison
THEY NEED REHAB-JAIL
!

The 'Lindsey Lohan Story is like every other Addict's  Story in that it takes far to long to get the person into treatment.
Getting the STAR addict to jail is a long, drawn-out costly process that serves little purpose.
A court sponsored treatment facility usually does no good and many are considered to be a joke.
This "addict" situation has spiraled out of control in America and we as a society have yet to come up with a sound resolution
and our failure to do so has failed to help the addicts overcome their addiction and has failed to protect our people from the addict.

Arrested
On July 24, 2007, Lindsay Lohan was arrested in Santa Monica on DUI and drug (cocaine) possession charges and driving with a suspended license.

Why Walk-In REHABs are a 45 Day Joke with no Punch Line.
Her arrest came just a week after the actress was released from a 45-day residential treatment facility.
Many of these "treatment facilities" placate to the addict and are  "Treatment Facilities" in title only, due to the fact, many  facilities mandate little regulation, have minimal restrictions and require little  from the addict in their recovery.

It seems the more "laxed" the rules of the facility, the better it's reputation among addicts.
Laxed rules means addicts can easily  do their rehab while succeeding in 'appearances only'  to the outsiders they desire to appease.
These Facilities are in competition for celebrity business and have become more concerned in attracting celebrities with perk services than treatment centers.  They commonly promote  their Holiday SPA atmosphere which includes allowing the addict  company of friends and relatives.
Drugs have been reported to be easily brought into the facility by friends.

Who are they kidding?  Who, are we kidding?
Forty Five Days is not an adequate time for treating a drug addict.  It's that simple.

ADDICTS ON PAROLE.... AND THE PARTIES TO WHICH THEY CHOOSE TO GO....
With a history of drug abuse and on Parole, Lindsey thought it was a good idea to attend the Cannes Film Festival.
Lohan stated her passport was stolen and she could not return to the US in time for her COURT appearance.

THE 'NO SHOW' SHOW OF ADDICTS
Addicts are the Actors of the No Show, Show
Lindsey  failed to report to a June court date.
An infraction that resulted in  the court ordered  alcohol-monitoring bracelet, called a SCRAM device.

SCREW SCRAM.....It's a SCAM.
A Scram Bracelet does not take the place of a Good Old
forced "Time Out" to "Dry Out" Cell Time.  (and we ain't talking about a new phone plan)

I don't know why the Judge even bothered with the SCRAM.
SCREW SCRAM, I say.  It only delayed the inevitable.
This bracelet should be used POST sentence not Pre sentence.

ADDICTS ON PAROLE AND THE PARTIES TO WHICH THEY CHOOSE TO GO....
With a history of drug abuse and on Parole.....
we have yet another Lindsey fell-off-the-wagon-again story to go...
In early June, Lindsey decides to attend a Sunday evening MTV Movie Awards afterparty.
Surprise surprise.

SCRAM BAM..... IT'S LOHAN'S ANKLE CALLING AGAIN
THE SCRAM SIGNALS AN ALCOHOL ALERT.

Typical Addict Behavior
THE 'NO SHOW' SHOW OF ADDICTS
Addicts are the Actors of the No Show, Show
Is this something... our Judice System does not already know?
With a history of drug abuse and on Parole.....
In her last court appearance, it was revealed that Lindsey DID NOT SHOW UP FOR NINE (9) Court Ordered Weekly Alcohol Abuse Counseling Sessions and had a variety of excuses for her absence.   It was reported, that Lindsey would "Sometimes" call ahead when she was going to miss alcohol treatment counseling session.
Sooo, in other words, the majority of the time Lindsey didn't call at all?
Also reported was “One time she missed for a random drug test.”
Why was Lindsey PERMITTED to miss 9 Classes?
Why does the court allow for NINE MISSED Appointments from a known addict?

This continual game of cat and mouse play of court appearances costs the PUBLIC MONEY.
Lindsey has already been cited for driving her car  while on drugs, as well as, acting and driving so erratic
a woman in fear of her called 911 as Lindsey chased after her in her car.
The public's safety is at risk.

Why is this behavior from an Addict so Surprising?

We are not doing ourselves any favors by having Addicts and Drug Offenders on Parole.
We are not doing the Addicts /Drug Offenders any good by giving them Parole.
Why haven't we learned anything?

Our Judicial System Playing Foot Loose and Fancy Free with Those Addicted

ADDICTS and CRIMINALS..... THE SAME?
WHY IT MAY BE HARD FOR JUDGES TO PUT STAR ADDICTS IN "JAIL"
In my opinion, I think California Judges feel awkward sending a celebrity (esp. a female star) to an actual jail cell.
Perhaps Judges, have a difficult time digesting the fact of sending a young female STAR addicts to an actual JAIL CELL.
The idea of sending a  Star to jail with other prisoners, some who are dangerous.
Perhaps the idea of the jail itself,  the actual condition of the facilities brings about a connotation of an ill-fit housing unit for a star addict.

Lindsey and many others belong in my newly dreamed up ideal facility....."REHAB JAIL".

THE SAME OLD PROBLEM AGAIN  AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
Due to fact that "rehab"  facilities are, for the most part, entered by a drug or alcohol abusor on their own terms
and they also stay for a length of period... on there own terms.
Addicts rarely walk into a facility on their own accord but do so usually at the insistance from others.
When someone performs an act at the insistence of others, they often have no real incentive in helping themselves.
If the addict walks into a treatment facility in order to placate those around them, they will often not take the stay seriously, often leave the facility
prematurely and relapse before they even had the chance to be completely clean.

Court ordered rehab is no better in that they are released to early and celebrities seem to get too much STAR treatment.

WHEN  YOU CAN'T  LEAD THE HORSE TO WATER...
Addicts are not  in control of their addiction.  The addiction is so strong, it literally controls with full power the addicts body and mind.
This is why an addict will do and say whatever they have to in order to get the drugs they need.
The addicts entire being has been hijacked by the addictive drug.
Yet, the addict has full legal guardianship of themselves.

Many Addicts require rehab but refuse to go.
How many times have I heard the public outrage "It's her parents fault - they haven't gotten Lindsey into Rehab".
Maybe because they CAN'T.   Lindsey is according to the law a "legal adult", therefore, she is responsible for herself.
If Lindsey does not want to return to rehab, she won't.
Even when the addict enters rehab on their own accord most do so to placate the family, and leave before they really
have the chance to dry out and break the addiction.

There are "Baker Act" laws but sometimes that is complicated and when a star is involved can be a very very complicated task.
Still, family of addicts should look into these laws.

When Drug Addicts enter jail, it costs taxpayers money and STARS probably more money because of the added security.

THE SENTENCE OF REHAB JAIL.  IT'S A DIFFERENT PLACE.  IT'S FOR ADDICTS ONLY.
Judges would be more willing to send Addicts esp. STARS to this facility instead of a conventional  "JAIL"

Drug Addicts or repeat alcohol offenders should go to REHAB JAIL and THEY should PAY for their accommodations.
The REHAB Jail  is a treatment facility consisting of a hotel like room with BARS.
The room-like-cell is like jail but a separate facility, whereas the addict is LOCKED UP, but in more comfortable surroundings with the essential necessities as that of a hotel room.

Three Options at REHAB JAIL.   Minimum Stay Should Be 120 Days.
1)   The Basic Cell.   Similiar to that of a basic room (private and semi private bathroom facilities)
Those who cannot afford the basic room cell will be required to work at the facility to pay for their stay.
2)   The Holiday In for Now Cell.    We will leave the pen light on for you.
3)   The 4 Star Star Cell.   The four Star Cell would cost a celebrity $2500-$5000 per night.

SUMMARY
I believe California Judges would be far more inclined to send a STAR esp. the female ones to a REHAB JAIL and would do so much earlier than playing this "screw up 20 more times" scenario so they can substantiate sending a starlet to JAIL.  I also believe Judges would have an easier time sentencing addicts to longer sentences and these sentences would not be reduced.
Celebrities would be far more accepting in doing their time in "REHAB JAIL" than regular Jail because the accomodations would be more accepting Celebrities would be HAPPY to PAY for their accomodations in leiu of JAIL,  should they be be court-ordered to go.

In the meantime, California can save millions of tax payer dollars spent on sending addicts to jail on the public's wallet.
In fact, because the addict would pay for court Ordered REHAB Jail, California can earn some big bucks.
If these REHAB Jails are privately run, the tax revenue alone, would be significant to California.

Lindsey's 90 day stay at the modest $2500.00 per night rate would total $225,000.00.

This of course, is piddley from the amt. she will earn from her first interview upon release.

I say it's a Win Win Solution.
What do you think?

oh all these drug haters....get a life

Absolutely. An upscale rehab jail is really what they need. Hollywood stars need consequences just like the rest of us. Hollywood culture is all about the glamour. There must be something wrong with the culture there or all of these girls wouldn't be going down the same path: Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Mary-Kate and Ashley, Miley Cyrus . . . cute little girls gone bad.

It's a catch 22, isn't it? I really think the Judges are reluctant to send these Hollywood addicts to a real jail for drug related offenses. Their hesitancy to put Stars behind bars only makes matters worse. If we had a rehab jail perhaps the Judges would be more willing to sentence, the drug addict more willing to go to rehab prison and society would be safer, as well as, the addict. <br />

Maybe someone will invest in this kind of no nonsense, upscale rehab jail.

Yeah, I don't think drug addicts should be mixed in with hardened criminals. If it's Just a drug charge, they should be sent to another jail facility made for that kind of thing. The thing is, they're going in there with these criminals and I don't think Lindsay Lohan, for one, believes she is a hardened criminal. This all seems unfair to her, and we believe she's being unreasonable for not quitting in the first place.
