I agree Sazy! We are held hostage, and I have one tiny little bit of cure for it, but its only personal.

To end the economy of the bureaucratic, aristocratic oligarchy, stop buying bullsh*t!

I mean like $8.99 headbands, and $14.99 knicknacks, and cheap toys, and expensive clothes made by slaves, and trendy sunglasses, and anything and everything else you don't NEED!

That's how they are doing it, we keep buying the crap, and they keep profiting!

Your right Sazy, we are held under world elitists, and we also hold others under threat with the largest military complex on earth. Its dog eat dog, especially for the little dogs who have little or no say-so in the world of big dogs. It's all about money! People are just trivial numbers that get in the way of the main 'agenda'.

You're right, I don't like globalization by the elitists. What would happen to diversity? All melted down, to mediocrity. That seems to be their goal...dang new world order dudes.

It's always great to see there are still people who want to work on differences, who want to listen and talk... I can't tell you how heart warming it is to read this post, Zandalee!

Excellent discourse, MusicMouse. Your wisdom and teaching skills are apparent. I do hope a lot of people read that, word for word, and take it in. Sometimes I feel pessimistic, and positive ideas spur me on. Thanks for giving your time to this effort at connecting.

    Viva la America!

Today, many people see the violence and torture done for their palates as absolutely acceptable: Human and Animal exploitation is the norm, despite the contradictions inherent in it. Given how overwhelmingly strong the societal currents run against treating Humans/Animals as anything more than commodities and property, the kind of change we need will require more than violence, more than property destruction, and certainly more than a re-creation of the exploitative dynamics that got us here to begin with. If we are to ever win or advance, we must do so by changing the social relations that are at the heart of the problems we face. If we re-create those damaging social relations by relying on the dominance and oppression of violence, we are essentially doing nothing but deepening the problems that exist, and more often than not, claiming to be the fighters for "life" .

In short, we can’t force people to make decisions about morality while they’re staring down the barrel of a gun (or on the receiving end of a bomb). We have to do the hard and often inglorious work of creating a broad-based social movement that will call into question the Humanitarian/Speciesist dynamics that underlie our social and cultural norms or traditions. Bombs or guns or violence or completely shameless attention whoring cannot achieve this, ever. To attempt to control behavior through force, of any kind, whether it be and individual, social or societal, has never worked and never will.

Thank you for this important post Zandalee. ;~))

Oh, yes, discourse between neighbors is what we want! However, tea parties are for little girls, and I can't back anything Fox News set up...the tea parties have been nasty and partisan, they get nowhere either. Let's think of a new name, a new theme, perhaps, Peace Parties? Freedom Parties? How to do such a thing? Get-togethers where people from all sides can talk without affiliation, individually, as humans. With the 'people' so powerless, most shy away from such things...we are braver when we are anonymous..For right now, I am content to write from here, my neighbors aren't very friendly, actually... Got any ideas?

Thanks for giving me that injection of positivity-I am really trying to turn my attitude around to one of hopefulness, even if we do know we can't change the world with words alone...

With One mind set that we are all neighbors, we all have problems, trusting in each other that we can solve all issues. A positive attitude can solve our issues.
