Two lines of people face each other, holding hands .
Here we are, on the side of the people, facing off world powers, financial moguls, and warmonger-profiteers.
Our line stands all across America, hand in hand.
We are calling, calling, calling, the people of America to come join us.
Our local representatives stand with us, our state officials stand in the middle, trying to decide which line to be in...
The other line is strong, but has fewer people in number. They are not calling us over.
To break their line, and bring someone to our side, we have to have strength of conviction. The goal is to unite in the middle, not stay divided.
What is right? What is wrong?
We want and need resources. We want and need industry. We want and need governance.
How can we unite the two lines and stand as one in the middle of America?
I have no great answers to my own questions.
I've written to my senator (Feinstein)
I have talked to people, asked people questions.
I do not have solutions, I can only stand strong in our line, holding tightly the hands on either side of me.
Will they break us? Take us?
United we stand, divided we fall...
We must have discourse! The people need to talk amongst themselves for unity...put down your newspaper, turn off the news, and go talk to your neighbor...
If you neighbor stands with us, hold on tightly.
If your neighbor is in the middle, listen to his story.
If he is on the other side, find out why he chooses to be.
Perhaps someday we can all meet in the middle, together.
*Thanks for the opportunity to rethink my position, Shell. I want to catch the positive vibes you exude.*
