According to the Historical Boys' Clothing site, tights for boys in the wintertime are (or were) especially common in Germany and Russia / former Soviet Union. These are generally boys' tights, styled to look more like socks at the bottom and possibly also with a fly front.

Racer, there are boys in European schools today who wear tights to school. In Germany they wear them under their shorts. It is only here in America with their old Victorian ways that tights are considered feminine except for baby boys up to 2 years of age. If you google boys tights there will be several available for your perusal. Footewd and non footed and yes some do have a "FLY" sewn in.

I agree, tights are great to wear. Infact I took up cycling so I could "respectfully wear tights as cyclists wear those latex tight fitting costumes. However they are very expensive and so I simply bought a number of pairs of girls tights. Now I ride to the shopping centre and, as I am wearing my helmet noone gives a second glance at me in my tights. I somehow like the idea that my figure is on display - I work hard at keeping slim and this, I feel, is my reward and motivation for continuing my exercise routine.

Strange isn't it how people form their narrow opinions about what is (and isn't ok) for a guy to wear. I enjoy the way tights show off the shape of a boy or girl too, and like you keep slim so I can wear girl things and hopefully look good in them. I am finding that provided I wear tights with confidence and with something that looks good, people are not at all hostile about it.

Wearing tights is such a pleasure, I hope you will be able to do it more too.

Runners also wear tights. I use to wear them all winter, until my knees wore out. I ran the Chicago Marathon twice, in 1990 and 1993 wearing tights, and so did thousands of others. It was actually snowing in 1993.

There is no reason a boy age 7 and above can not wear tights, nor a man. They are beneficial to both.

In Europe tights for boys and man have been accepted for a long time. We dressed both of our kids, boy and girl in tights during thewinter all the time.

In the U.S boys in tights are labeled sissys. How can a piece a cloth turn a boy into a sissy?

Then again, what's wrong with being a "sissy?"

I hate the term "sissy". It has nothing to do with sissy, when a boy shows more of his sensitivites and feelings. I wish more boys would be alowed to do that. Then we would not have so many bullies...
