I Am In Total Control Of My Dreams

This is really weird but when i dream i can control everything. And I mean everything. If I want to dream I am at a beach party flirting with a celebrety then my dreams change to that. I have even created a dream world where i go every night when i sleep. It is really cool and love being able to do so but it doesn't feel normal being able to do this so I wonder what it is. Is it some sort of self- hypnosis? I would be really happy if someone could give me some answers
