I do laugh at myself, as I have come to the realisation that I lack balance in the most unopportune of situations. And rather than getting embarassed, I tend to burst out laughing at myself or giggling. That way it is easier to anticipate it.
I do make lots of mistakes, I do tend to come out with strange wording of things and I do tend to make overly freudian slips, and I find that when I laugh at myself, that it makes others more comfortable to see that I do not get offended easily and that I prefer they laugh too.
