Rejection

I am beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with me. Most of the time I either get snubbed by people or rejected. You'd think I had leprosy or something. It's really gotten to me. It hurts so much. I feel so worthless and have no self-esteem. Even my mother treats me like I'm nothing.

Hold that head up. remember your a wife, a mother, and a gran. that means a lot to people in your life. There is nothing wrong with you, there is something wrong with them. Keep on smiling and think positive!!! =]

Thanks - this is helpful.

Questions - do you have leprosy? - do you take baths regularly? - do you have a twin head sticking out the side of your neck? - perhaps Gastroenteritis? - Tourette Syndrome?
I bet you were teased allot in your very younger years weren't you. And your mother sounds like she must be jealous of you somehow.
Positive affirmations can and do have marked impact on promoting a healthy perspective with regard to social rejection. Remember that SNL skit - "positive affirmations with Stewart Smalley"?
The next time you feel snubbed consider taking a moment to stand in front of a mirror and say these things to yourself....
I deserve good things. I am entitled to my share of happiness. I refuse to beat myself up. I am attractive person. I am fun to be with.
And another thing, at your age, you shouldn't be giving a crap what anyone thinks of you. Those kind of insecurities are for the young and stupid to worry about.
