I Get Too Embarassed

I can't move without thinking, "Oh there's DEFINITELY someone out there making fun of me." I have never been the most coordinated person so dancing is just a whole new thing to me. Everyone tells me that i CAN move my hips because I just can, but I don't like too. At least not in front of a lot of people. Recently, I've actually loved to embarass myself. I got snuck into a bar with a friend and her mom and her mom's friends. Being underage in bar, there's not much that you could do besides sit at the bar drinking a Coke or dancing. So after awhile I decided, "Oh what the hell. I'm not gonna see half of these people ever again." so I danced until the grown-ups were all tired and had to leave.

Getting your groove on can be fun but you have to adopt that "oh what the hell" attitude from the getgo. Dancing is about feeling the music and channeling that energy into motion. Some people have natural grace and look good, others have to work at it. The beauty of dance is that its a form of ex<x>pression so there is no right or wrong way to move. I've danced in rap clubs and hip hop clubs.... All that matters is that you have fun, if its not fun don't do it.
