Too Much Rhythm?

You know how they always say that if you can't dance, you should just 'move along with the beat'?  Well, that's all I can do.  Acually, that's kind of a lie.  I can also jump around like the Awkward!Fairy and twirl, but that's not better.

I seem to need a plan before I try to dance, particularly at parties, or I just end up doing some kind of shuffle that gets really old really fast.

I'm always listening too closely to the music. Even if I'm having a good time, I can't stop paying attention to the beat of the song that's on, and the lyrics.  Often I even find myself lip-synching to the song if it's one I like.  And if it's one I don't like, I have to stop and leave.  On one occasion, I thought I was going to throw up because a specific song came on and I couldn't get out of the room quick enough.

I don't really see this improving, unless the music has no words... but these days, that would be techno and I think I'd look really stupid dancing to techno. Boo.

Your dancing problems are finally over.

I was born with the gift of dance. I love dancing and I wish I did it more. I know alot of people that can't dance. That's OK. I'm sure there are other things you do well
