Oh, Numbers Give Me A Headache

I have always struggled with maths, every branch of it. It just isn't for me. I cannot comprehend even the most basic of mathematical problems. I struggle to add up in my head, so I still use my fingers for counting. I absolutely hate it.

Especially that Algebra ****. Why do they throw letters in there with the numbers? As if it weren't already hard enough to understand! They WANT to make it painful, don't they? They aim to confuse and make my brain want to explode, I'm sure of it. -.-

I completely understand what you're saying here. I have always hated math of any kind. The job I have now...I do deal with numbers, but it's business math related and my calculator does all the thinking (adding & subtracting), that's easy enough. But I do remember in school, just hating math. I did well in all my other subjects, but always had lower grades in math. I think some people just aren't wired for it, myself included. I was able to grasp pre-algebra, but once we went beyond that...I was lost.
