First Time On The Motorway Today

I am 33, and until a few months ago, I couldn't drive at all. I refused to for a series of reasons. Cost to the environment. Cost to my own wallet. No need to as I used to live in a town with good public transport. Too scared to - I'm a very anxious person.

Because I have moved back to the countryside, I had my back against the wall and I had to start learning. I was terrified at first, driving at a snail's pace. But with my driving instructor's patient coaching, I gradually overcame my fears.

I drove on the motorway for the first time today, and it was OK.

Soon, this group will no longer be true about me...

Bravo foxy!!

good for you. When I was a kid there was an old couple, Florence and Ed. Florence was 90 and Ed was 84. Florence got her driver's license for the first time at 90 because Ed was getting too old to drive. They don't make em like that any more.

OMG, that's the sweetest thing I have read today. Thanks!

Good job sweetie! I remember my first time. It was scary. Like anything it gets easier the more you do it. Yeah, in sparsely populated areas you kinda have to be able to drive. Los angeles is the worst. Too spread out for decent public transit so everyone drives, yet it is too populated so it makes traffic a nightmare.

So maybe not the place for me. What a shame though, it has two of my favourite people in it! :)

You. Would. Hate. L.A. like. I. Do. But you would probably enjoy a visit. I would weed out the crap and take you to all the cool places.

=))
