have always enjoyed history and visits to the antique store.
Toby Mugs seem to tie things together. They are cups intended for decorative purpose, mantle pieces best known as, "Royal Daulton" collectibles. Look for the stamp on the bottom of the cup.
These simple Mugs have given my kids and I something to look for while in the antique store, moreover they can be purchased with a small investment and hold value.
When my older kids come to visit they will search through the display case and wonder... "What's new"... Many of these cups are historical characters providing some educational means of dialoge. I like that!!
Prices will vary.... providing even more fun. I found one mug in a store for 12.00, and the same mug on E-Bay for 90.00. Yep.. I bought it!! Fun!!
