My Babies.

A personal story in the experience: I Consider My Pets Family
I have a 13 year old beagle that I have had since she was born, Thats lilly. Then I have A 2 lb Minature Pincher (Roxy) who is about 4 months I think. Then I have a cat whos around 3 years old thats Josie.

Skeeter my guinea pig for 5 years just passed away last thursday and im still getting over that. Some people make coments like its only a guinea pig. but its not. He was a part of my family. I raised him from a baby on. Just because its not a human doesnt mean you dont have just as much love for them. Some people make me sick when they look down onyou for getting depressed over an animal. My animals are my kids. I get worried about them just like i would for a kid. When they arent happy it effects me too. When something serious is going on I freak out. Hell no Im not going in to work. I dont care whats going on I will stop and take them to the vet or an emergency vet it doesnt matter as long as they get help. I dont car if its a bird or a fish my whole world seems to stop completely until this issue gets solved. I may be weird but I love my animals to death and as long as im around they will get the best care that i can get for them.

I know how you feel. I had a cat named breanna. I had her when she was 9 weeks old. She was my baby. I loved her like she was a daughter. We used too play hide and seek. really we did!!!. Id go hide in one room and id call her and she go looking for me in diffrent rooms. When she found me she jumped in excitement. people couldnt believe how she do this. Also when i left for work she stay at the door and cry and cry and go in her room and wait for me. When she heard my voice she would cry uncontrolable because she knew i was home. It always made my day. She sleep with me and sleep on my boyfriends side until she knew he was getting in bed she lay on me or by my side. One day breanna was so sick and i couldnt keep affording her vet bills and i was devistated i had too get rid of her. no not put her too sleep. I was so depressed i bawled for a week and even now i think of her and i get sad. I will never get over how that cat was something special too me. There will always be a place in my heart for breanna. People thought i was weird getting overly upset about a pet. but animals are a gift from God and its our jobs too make sure we take care of them and love them. I will keep playing the quizes even though i suck at them but i will keep trying till there is food in their bowls. Animals touch our hearts and soul. johanna

I have a min pin named Mnnie, an American Hairless Terrier named Suede, and my dobie Merccedes. These are my kids... they love me as me. I'm crazy for my pets..Last November 08-2007 i lost my terrarose, she was a chow mix that stole my heart, left on the side of the road to die at 5 weeks old. I fed her, and becaME HER MOMMY
I still cry for her, she was my fur daughter, part of my heart went with her when she went to Rainbow Bridge. I believe animals are her as angels to be our guides....so love your pets, they may be angels checking you out Blessed Be Terrarose

I agree with all the posts. Our three dogs are our children (Tommy, Polly, and Beggs) and I don't want to think about how I will manage it when they get older and die. Tommy is nearly 13 and has had health problems all his life (including dental - he now only has 3 teeth) and I worry so much every time I take him to the vet because I'm afraid the next time he might not come home. When I was a child I had pet mice and I grieved for them terribly when they got ill and died.

I agree our pets are like our babies very much human! LOL! My mom has a min pin she is 13 yrs old now and weighs about 5lbs. soaking wet! She recently had a stroke 2 weeks ago and wasn't doing too well. My son was just in kindergarden when we got her. My son is 17 yrs old now so this little dog has grown up with him. We have all been so worried over her. We love her so much just like a member of the family! I was out of town when she had the stroke 2 weekends ago. When my mom told me I broke down and cried like a baby. I mean she survived it but the idea of losing her just hurt so bad!
