I Will Always Love You

This song was selected to be played at her funeral by a friend who I had known since the age of five..she passed away at 29 from leukemia. When she knew she could no longer fight the disease...she planned her funeral and wanted everyone to know how much she loved them.  My father held me tightly through this funeral, knowing how fragile I was...Life is way too uncertain.I love and hate this song with equal passion....

Any loss of someone close I find tough to deal with. It is especially hard if they are young, as your friend was. Reminders, such as the song, would initially make me angry about the loss. I guess as time helped heal me, those reminders now bring a smile to my face, slilently apprecitating my time with whom I've lost. Thank you for sharing.

This IS one of the all-time greatest songs, sung by an all-time great. Your story got me teary. It's always heartbreaking to hear about someone dying so young. Its touching that her memory remains with you - true friendship.

Awww, I'm so sorry you had to go thru this. It's one of the hardest things to do, to say goodbye to a friend this way...hugs and hugs.......

I hate to watch someone suffer..it leaves a helpless feeling. Especially when they want to live so bad.

Hugs xoxo

Thank you.
