I Dance When Im In a Good Mood
Dance is the only thing in life I have ever really felt connected to... that makes me feel whole when I feel broken.. for as long as I can remember.
I have always danced. Growing up I danced at my church in the isle... then took ballet...and now I am a ballroom dancer.... as a child It helped me deal with my father's death at seven.... then in highschool my ballet teacher was murdered ....and it helped me then... now I ballroom dance in every mood.
When I am upset I close my eyes and see myself dancing beautifully like it felt in high school when my teacher was alive... she meant the world to me....and so many others....dance helped us all grieve....I will never foget dancing my goodbye to her..stretching my hands to the sky
Still questioning..... "God? Why?"
With tears in my eyes...
..feeling her near...
Then saying goodbye..
For me...there is no "good mood" without dance...
I'm not sure which came first though....
