Love Is Patient, Love Is Kind

I heard that in a song once. I asked my friend what she thought love was, she said it was evil and cruel. That it knows what you're getting into, but doesn't try to stop you from falling.

I still don't understand what that song meant, though.

Patient? As in it'll wait for you to be ready? If that were it, I would never have fallen in love with my closest friend. I wasn't ready for that. Is it supposed to wait for the right time? Who knows when the right time is? Is love all-knowing?

Kind? How is that possible with heartbreak, unrequited loves, divorce, and infidelity? Love doesn't wait for the right person. It makes you follow around the worst ones possible.

My friend called love a gangleader (yeah, she's weird). If love's the leader, happiness is the incognito one. You know, the one that nobody can find, and those who do either found it temporarily, or are dead.

That's really all I could come up with for Love's gang. Comment and tell me who/what else you think would be in Love's gang.

So yeah, my definition of love is that it's a gangleader.

P.S.: If you were wondering, the name of the song I talked about is 'Same Love' by Macklemore
