Alcoholism does interesting things to a relationship. Alcohol can be a truth serum. You can be so nice when you're sober, but so cruel when your drunk. If you really don't like me have the stones to say it to me sober.

Don't be nice to me while your sober, and rude -hurtful -insulting when your drunk. Grow a pair and say those mean things to me with crystal clarity of mind.

I hear you. However, remember that alcohol is not just a truth serum. Alcohol releases the inhibitions so when he's saying all those HORRIFIC things to you, he may be speaking out of his fears than speaking out of what he really feels. Every little fear is intensified, every little insecurity amplified, and then, the mouth spills over. I'm sure that's not what you want to hear when you're fed up, but if there's any chance of making this work, you may want to consider that... wishing you peace. Sometimes it's best to walk away - only the strongest birds fly solo.
