I Didnt Have a Great Mother

 It's strange how families work. My grandma was good to me most of the time and horrible to her own children(HORRIBLE), family regrets tend to turn  parents into great Grandparents sometimes, but only if they realize and/or admit it. People make horrible mistakes, sometimes they learn from them and sometimes they don't. Both my parents had parents who made PLENTY and it's not a surprise to me that there children have trying to not make the same ended up making there own and/or worse horrible mistakes. Which of course I make my own which in reality thats how it works, I just hope my son will understand and know I always love him.

    Not all mums have the courage to do what you did, it is very commendable, it must have been very hard to do. x

    He was given to a women who I felt was an older wiser me. It was an open adoption. I learned from my parents mistakes, my son could never be whole if he stayed with me when I had him. He would have suffered for many years and been exposed to family I could not protect him from. So I made a different choice and I don't regret it. As painful as it is he is a better person for it and so am I. I was 20, not to old but not as young as many moms in this world.

    Do you tell and show your son this? Or has there been past paid that needs to be resolved between you both?
