Not Exactly Dislike the Person But Their Characteristics

Many have not had the opporunity to be well educated for a number of reasons. These people I try to help in some way.

Part of helping is to not present myself as better than they are since this leads to resentment on their part. Nothing good is accomplished when resentment is a driving force.

Coversations, actions, and example help but even this is rejected and the old saying "you can't help someone who doesn't want to help their own self" prevales.

Bigotry is a characteristic or by-product of ignorance.

I get frustrated that ignorance exits in todays world where we have all the resources to eliminate it.

I hate the effect of ignorance not the person who is ignorant.

This is such an important topic ... it is worth much more reflection and discussion ... come on EPers ... JUMP IN

WE are definitely in tune ... Love ...

So True

I agree as well... I have witnessed ignorance from some of the most educated and intelligent people... <br />
Being unbiased is hard... we all have experiences and those experiences affect how we see the world... its ok to be biased... its not ok to spread ignorance...

Thanks for your perception. I think a lot of us fall into the same mental trap from time to time. I really try to keep myself as unbiased as I can ... sometimes, its not easy.

Well put and I agree 100%. Education level has nothing to do with a person being a bigot.
