Islamaphobia

A BNP member has crawled out of the woodwork and replied to my post 'Stop The BNP'. In the usual baseless, vile invective, she equates Islam with rape, murder and torture. I'm not going to go any further in this post (though I will post this in one or two other groups), but I would ask you to take a look at my post, and see what you think. Oh, and she appears to have barred me from looking at her profile, which smacks of cowardice to me.

I've had to get rid of the link, sadly, because I can't seem to get it right! Oh well, take a peek at 'Stop the BNP' in 'I detest Racists' and you could also have a look at this website (hope it works!)

Well, there seems to be so much confusion as well. If you read the beginning of the Quran it's about peace and how to be and being a good wife or husband, good mother and father. When you get toward the back, it talks about lying to people on purpose, doing whatever it takes to propagate Islam and starts to get very annhilistic. Then there's the subject of abrogation... the latter section abrogates the entire beginnning section. THAT confuses me, but I don't think it's terribly dissimilar to the Old Testament/New Testament conundrum.
When we educate ourselves, we can begin to have discussion about these matters. But even I, who have studied the bible backwards and forwards; and read both the Torah and the Quran, even I wouldn't really do well in a philosophical debate over the matter. If you have no knowledge, then all you HAVE is sticks and stones.

Puck, I ditto you on Sh'ria law ... THAT is some scary stuff.

Oh, and I started to post something here, but felt it inappropriate to do so on YOUR story board.
I will post on my own board.
As for hatred, there is far too much everywhere to point an arrow at it... unless you simply spin the spinner and accept that everywhere it lands, you'll find hatred.

I also despise Islam, and more specifically Sharia law., but I don't feel the need to exaggerate. When people make volatile remarks like that , they defeat their own purpose.

They get them from other racists, who got them from other racists, etc, etc, ad nauseum. 'Lies, damned lies and statistics' Benjamin Disraeli
It is completely unfounded and nasty.
It is alarming when people spreading hatred quote 'statistics', and so called facts, I wonder where they get them from. It is dangerous because it is hatred based on unfounded information. I would say to these bigots, do not believe everything you hear.
