I Do Hair, and Sometimes I Hate It!

Ok, so when I was 20, I had a lifechanging thing happen to me, and after the lifechaging obsticle, I found myself jobless, careerless, insuranceless, and a bum. I was forced to go back to school and figure out what I wanted to do with my life.

I chose beauty school. 10 months later, I graduated, and got a decent job working at Regis Salon.

I love the people I work with, but the clientele is a completely different story. I love doing certian peoples hair, but others, I don't. I feel like some people make me feel like I'm the only hairstylist for them, and then others make me feel like I'm a peice of ****.  Why does the public today treat everyone that they come into contact with feel like they work at McDonalds!? I went to school, studied hard, and got good grades, and am now working in a professional field, why can't I be treated the same way that people treat their other professional co-workers?

Please remember, even if you don't do hair, treat your hairstylist with respect, and don't forget to tip her, we don't make tons of money.

Sorry to hear your troubles ... I'm a nurse and believe me ... some people will never appreciate anything you do no matter what your field of professionalism is. No matter how good or generous. I love my hair dresser but the bad part about it is about 5 years ago I figured out you were suppose to tip !! I felt so bad but I really didnt know. :( I do it now though !
