Not A Perfect Body Here Either...

I am 55 now, and this body is out of shape. However, I *am* working on it. I have dropped 20 lbs. and will drop more weight. However, I am doing it for my health, not because I want to look like a plasticized, unhealthy supermodel. I want to get back to my very curvy self and drop the blood pressure and avoid diabetes.
Anyone doesn't like that can just leave me alone.

Sound like u are a real girl. My wife was a top looking. With age. The pounds went on. We have a great sex life and happy. Life is good. Any way I think my girl is still hot. To me anyway. What other people think who gives a f##k. And I think u r to.

I have dropped 64 pounds since I posted this story, dropped my blood pressure from 158/100 to 118/88 (after a run), and am getting the triglycerides and cholesterol under control with medication. I was 190 pounds this morning.

I have cut 80% of processed foods out of my diet (sorry..not giving up the occasional Kraft Mac n Cheese binge....), and cut back on my meat consumption. I also cut diet cola down to just when I go out to eat (which is maybe once a week). I also use my crockpot all the time and make fresh soups to have with my favorite scratch corn muffins. I also make a veggie lasagna minus the noodles, with low-fat cottage cheese and part-skim ricotta.

This seems to be working, so I will stick with it as long as necessary. I don't particularly have a specific goal weight, but my hope is to go now from a size 18 down to a 14...I've already given away all my size 22/24 clothes!

I'll keep y'all posted on the progress!

You are truly amazing!

What is your motivation?
Please share with me!

Anyways, you are going a great job and keep the positive attitude going!

I would like to share with you, that I´m actually also trying to lose weight for all the same reasons as you, but I´m 27 years old!

Take care and thanks for sharing
keep the fire burning

All too often people stay thin or try losing weight to "look better" and they usually fail. Even if they succeed, they've done it for all the wrong reasons and they'll probably gain it back again.
Congrats on your accomplishments so far! Keep going! (=
