Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

In my younger years I was tall and thin and never worried about my weight. As time went by the weight came on due to a number of reasons.
The world puts fantasies all in our heads saying thin is in. We fought the battles of the belly bulges and double chins. So what?
So we can make ourselves feel bad or others put us down for our weight problems? At least we try and go from there.
I'm heavier now that I'm older but I do like myself. Why make matters worse within yourself just because you don't look like a stick.
I'm happy with myself and that is all that matters. People we know and those we don't will have to accept me for me. If you don't take a walk.
If you like stick figures in your life go look in your broom closet. That's where they belong. You will fit nicely beside my mop.
I like me and others like me should feel proud and happy that you are you. Good loving people who don't need a super model body to make it in this world.
Whoopie do if you do! There are plenty of friends, lovers etc. that see beauty, love and being just us are just fine and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I love your story!
But again.... people will always go for, what they want and see as "taste" in their eyes!

But I know that I´m good as any other person, who is out there, because I´m better than the most people, who are complaining about seeing fat and ugly people! We need to give these people a lesson or two, because they truly deserved to be taught a lesson.

And I have something, which they don´t have: Self worth! That is true meaning of true happiness and accepting, who you are!

Take care and thanks for sharing
That was so correct. I loved your comments. I like me now better than when I was in my twenties. I am secure in who I am. I am not as lovely and I am not skinny by any means, but I am a nicer person than back then. You are right on!!!

I agree with you. its not what size you are or how tall you are its all in the inside.

Agreed! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there are many factors that make one beautiful...the biggest one is your heart :) ...I am no supermodel either and those that love me , love me for who I am not the size they think I should be !
Great post!
