Multi-Billion $$ Monsanto Sues

More Small Family Farmers

Percy Schmeiser is a farmer from Saskatchewan Canada, whose Canola fields were contaminated with Monsanto's genetically engineered Round-Up Ready Canola by pollen from a nearby farm. Monsanto says it doesn't matter how the contamination took place, and is therefore demanding Schmeiser pay their Technology Fee (the fee farmers must pay to grow Monsanto's genetically engineered products). According to Schmeiser, "I never had anything to do with Monsanto, outside of buying chemicals. I never signed a contract.

If I would go to St. Louis (Monsanto Headquarters) and contaminate their plots - destroy what they have worked on for 40 years - I think I would be put in jail and the key thrown away."

The GMO crops of all kinds, including trees and grass have already done what could be irreparable damage to the regular plants. GMO crops produce up to 6X more pollen than normal plants (hence everyone with sinus and allergies who now have to take medication ) and force the native plants to produce more pollen to compete. GMO has been proven to cross pollinate over great distances and has infected the majority of what used to be normal plants. This is effecting insect life, animal life, fish life...probably forever. because it pollinates over extreme distance, I would'nt be surprised if Monsanto starts getting cuts from ALL crops. Our town farm markets and roadside stands even. What's left of the money will be used to buy allergy/sinus/asthma medication for your children. You know where that money goes...

don't get me started on monsanto!!!!

I will keep up with that farmer's story. It is truly a David against Goliath situation and I hope that the judge sees through Monsanto's nonsense. Imagine asking someone to control the way the wind blows-arrogant bast****!
