I Actually Can't Seem to Smoke.

I feel like I am the only person I know who doesn't smoke anything. Everyone I know except my boyfriend smokes cigarettes, pot, or more likely a combination of both.

I actually can't seem to smoke for physical reasons. For whatever reason, everytime I've tried to smoke anything, I swallow the air instead of breathing it in. I tried to smoke a cigarette once it and the next time I burped it tasted like a mixture of menthol and tar. My doctor actually told me that swallowing air can be a nervous habit, and that it could be possible that I could be esentially eating smoke instead of allowing it into my lungs. One time I actually burped up a whisp of smoke, so I assume that really is my problem.

Smoking. What a waste of lung tissue.

I'm with you 100% on this one (see my related story)! It's like we had the same train of thought today. Smoking in any way, shape or form just doesn't appeal to me. It's not like I hate smokers or anything, but it's just a habit that I wouldn't want to get addicted to. My last roommate was a smoker (he promised me that he had quit before moving in) and he smoked SO much that I would have to leave the apartment. On top of that, he turned out to be big pot smoker, and that was the clincher. I moved out. He was a slave to his addictions and wouldn't even compromise (shutting his bedroom door is NOT a compromise, nor is smoking by an open window). It's all good now, though... I'm living by myself in a smoke-free apartment!
