just don't see the appeal of smoking at all. A lot of my friends started to smoke as teenagers, and a few even younger. Many of them tried to encourage me to start smoking too but I am pleased to say that I didn't give in to peer pressure.
I know that people think that it looks cool but it really doesn't, well not to me anyway, and now I don't know of one smoker who doesn't regret starting smoking.
Some of my family members do it and I have got to say that I can't stand to be in a room with them when they light up a cigarette.
I'm sure that there are a lot of people around here who do smoke and want to give up but think they may be too addicted. Well all I'll say is it's not too late to do it. My Grandfather smoked since he was 20 and he's now 76. He gave up about 18 months ago and he told me the other day that his never felt better in his life!!

 | Posted Sep 14th, 2008 at 11:13AM when i was in 5th grade (i'm 30 now so it was a long time ago) my health teacher told us that by the time we got to high school there wouldn't be anyone left who smoked. what a joke that was! even now with the cost getting so high. and it absolutely amazes me that there are so many young people starting every day, knowing how dangerous it is. |

  | Posted Nov 11th, 2008 at 9:05AM It's really not that bad in moderation. I have not experienced any of the things you mentioned, and I don't smell like it most of the time. I started partly because I thought it was cool, for a lot of reasons really, but I continue to smoke because I like it. Some people really do enjoy it. I don't want to live to be old anyway. |

I think nothing is really bad in moderation. Too much of a god thing is bad. Balance is the key to everything in life. It won't hurt you unless it gets out of control. |
