I Do Not Smoke

She Asked to Bum a Cigarette; Then Hesitated to Try My Brand!

Hi! A funny thing happened to me on the way to the pharmacy. A young woman, about in her mid 20's, saw the carton in my shirt pocket and asked to bum a cigarette.

I looked down at the carton in my pocket, then back up to her and replied, "Oh this, I just ran out and am going in to get more."

"Oh, so you're out," she replied, "What brand do you use?"

I pulled the carton out of my pocket to show her it was LANTIS 100. For those of you who don't know, I am diabetic; LANTIS 100 is Insulin.

Well, she was hesitant then to try my brand. I DON'T KNOW WHY? ??????!

I do not smoke; never have, never will.

For those of you who do smoke; like her, maybe after reading this, you will think twice about bumming a cigarette!

Mermaid2022, unfortunately we don't have a choice. Being diabetic doesn't give us much choices; but we can choose whether or not to smoke. I chose not to smoke; I see what it does to those who do in the long run. Keep your glucose level low to normal, and your spirit high!

For those who meet girls by bumming cigarettes; you meet girls who smoke. If you go to a bar to meet girls, you meet girls who drink. Want to meet a healthy girl, try a health club or fitness gym.

Even better chiche. But consider this; she didn't know who she was asking; or what else could be laced in the cigarettes she bums.

I think she just made an honest mistake. But if one wants to smoke, they should buy their own. Remember: "Old Stogies Never Die, They Just Smell That Way."
