My Idea Of An Attractive Man

Most people go under the assumption that when someone says "looks doesn't matter" its because the person saying it is unattractive.  I'm not the most beautiful woman but I'm decent looking.  Back in the days, I've had the opportunity to date a few smoking guys.  As good as they looked you would ask me what was I thinking that I let them go.  The truth is they bored the hell out of me.  I've always thought the guys that made me laugh and intrigued me with wonderful conversations were the hottest guys around.  Sure, they may not have had the male model face and bodies but nevertheless they were sexy to me.

The irony is that superficiality is an extremely ugly personal characteristic.

I remember I told myself that once and someone came along. Unfortunately, nothing attracted me to him. Sometimes looks does matter but it's in the eye of the beholder. I don't care for stereotypical male attractiveness (muscles, washboard abs, tall, drop dead gorgeous, etc). I take into stride their personality along with an outward appeal. I like the guy who is comfortable, he doesn't have to be super confident but he's cool.

The same goes for 'high maintenence', 'often spoilt' trophey girlfriends. Most of the appeal lies in the mind and I totally agree with you. Like my older brother said to me when I was 14 and trying to get laid... go for the mediocre ones, hehe
