Substrings

I need to find a substring in a dataset wherever it is.. I will try to explain, once english is not my native language...

I have a string like complete name with names, many or none middle names and last name. There´s not an exact number of middle names. I want to assign code one in one new varible to the name Andrew (example). I need to scan the varible name and assign code 1, whenever the namje Andrew is in the variable. Is this possible?
