Assaulted In My Wheelchair And People Don't Care

I was assaulted for asking a kid to pick up rubbish in a small quaint town in England and ended up on the floor covered in blood with over 40 people watching and a few people filming me on their cell phones/mobile phones, only one person actually helped me!
What is wrong with this world? When I've travelled to different parts of the world people have different standards and no way could I ever imagine that happening to me over rubbish being thrown on the floor when there is a litter bin two metres away outside the shop itself I was visiting. The favourite words the youth culture today in England say is "I don't care" and I have witnessed first hand that it is not just words any more people don't care!!! I even went to one local church and spoke to a very respected vicar and asked him if they still believe in the principals of the Good Samaritan and he said "of course" and I told him while I was in my wheelchair about my assault and other major problems which have made my depression very bad indeed and he just gave me his card and told me to give him a ring but I left feeling he just wanted to get rid of me and I went home crying feeling completely lost and even more incapable of functioning in the real world. I'm still a complete mess and with the chronic pain I live with every day my life just is not worth living. The problem is what has happened to me can happen to anyone who cares so to all you nice people be prepared of a life of heart ache in todays world. I've never ignored someone who needs help and if anyone thinks they are a good person they can't be if they could ignore the suffering of others.

Well, my friend; all I can say is that I'm sorry I wasn't there. I would have been certain to see a bit more bloody messes, and a public humiliation of the onlookers. Don't lose faith-there is a great deal of good in the world, and you can conquer your challenges.

Hi, I haven't been on in a while. I can't believe such a thing happened to you! I know it's a terrible thing, but I hope you're not taking it as a hit to your self esteem. People can be so bad sometimes.I hope you'd gotten the police involved. Hang in there.I'm sorry you're in such pain. I will say a prayer for you.

It has been an absolute nightmare but the police have let me down because they never investigated it properly and ignored my evidence completely, one policeman said to me it was because of cutbacks here in the UK. It really is like we live in a very uncaring society all round because I'm not the only one with these problems and now people never go to the police for help and instead deal with things themselves by whatever means but I promise it is now us and them with the police now, everyone I know hates the police or at least have no faith in them. Isn't it sad but it's a reality now?
Anyway thank you very much for caring it is appreciated so much today.

when I look deep inside other peoples hearts I see suffering and because of my awareness of suffering I feel for others and it stops any feeling of anger I may have for that person. I think the more my heart is filled with love there is no room for anything else.

Some people are cruel. The worst part is that they are cruel to nice people. Being nice to everyone requires lot of strength. And it is sad that most of the modern youth lacks in it.
