I Donate Blood

I Love It.. Well, Kinda

I really like what I can do for others and as soon as I turned 17 I wanted to give blood. I finally did two months ago. It was really nerve-recking but I feel so much better. I always want to find ways to make a difference. I don't have money, but I have blood. I am actually O Positive (got my donor card.. it was very exciting!) I have the most common blood type and so they will always need it so I plan on continuing to donate blood till I can not any more.

Did you know that only 30% percent of all first timers give blood again.

Only 5% percent of eligible Americans donate blood. It feels good to be in the minority.

Oh and why is this a adult group?

5%-shocking!

what if you or your kid was on the operating table,mr/ms.non-donor?!?

O-pos. is the universal donor,most other types can recieve it,which is part of why I also feel compelled to donate regularly.good for you,SavedByGrace14-you are helping give the gift of life.

maybe it's an adult group because kids can't donate?hmmmm...

  I think O-Neg is the universal donor, cuz I'm O-Pos but I always wished I was the other one so I could give to everybody.

  You're right; O negative is the universal donor. I wish that was my blood type too.
