From self-serving pretense to unintentional self-deception, we all twist the truth sometimes. We get so wrapped up in a person, group, idea, whatever - that we start to see them as better than they really are, or we get so much out of a belief system that we try to spread it around to others, even if it's completely out of line with their nature.

No matter how much a person thinks they're telling you something true/helpful, we always need to take it with a grain of salt and decide for ourselves if it makes sense to us. Otherwise we end up drifting wherever the wind takes us.
