I Believe In God. I Find...

I believe in god. I find it difficult to believe that anyone could not believe in a power higher than themselves. I also believe that no matter what religion we all pray to the same power.

www.godandscience.org, I found this site and it really explains alot of things that I didnt understand and I have been a student of theology for a long time. I have studied old testament and new at a university a long time ago. I understand lots of people feel lost and confused that is just human nature, to try to rationalize things when trying to comprehend their role in the universe. Please enjoy this site and let me know if I helped in any way. Maybe we could discuss what we find and help each other.

I do believe that there are powers higher than mine, but I don't attribute them to god, to some invisible being. They are natural laws and forces.

some wonderful comments above. Do we all worship the same God? No we don't because the different faiths contradict each other. Also God won't be viewable by Hubble. Spiritual things rarely are... although there have been some interesting experiences over the past 100 years. I guess the great thing about God is He doesn't force you to believe anything. He gives you freedom to choose. At least from what I have studied this is the case with the Christian God. Freedom. Not so much with other faiths, where you have no choice such as reincarnation or submission?

A Higher Power of some sort, no matter what you name you use... How can there NOT be?

and Who created all things that science explains?

God exists outside of space and time. He exists in the spiritual relm, not the natural. So no, you can't see him, he is invisible.

You are all wrong. I am God. Worship me. Hahahahah just playing!

How can anyone really BELIEVE there is some kingly, kindly, guy somewhere in the sky (Hubble can't find him and it looks pretty far up in the sky)...really, its fairytaleish at best and politically very dangerous since every godly person thinks they are somehow more SPECIAL than any other person godly or not who doesn't subscribe to their particular form of superstition. We created god, not the other way around as a panacea for death. Gone forever is pretty scary...isn't it?

i am athiest. i just dont understand the whole 'god' concept.
i mean seriously, this wonderful place in the sky.
-look up to the heavens-
or this horrible inferno somewhere below the earth.
-the fiery pits of hell-
i honeslty think it sounds like something you'd read in a fictional novel.

i believe in being kind to others, to always lend a helping hand, and to just be an overall good person.

amen, religion is a cult

Why shouldn't we believe in mankind, which created gods in the first place? Isn't that a supremely witty thing to be able to create an unvisible entity which cannot be help responsible for the wrongs it tolerates, by impotence, evil, indifference or otherwise? If there is such a god, I agree, one is more than we need. [I believe in god. I find it difficult to believe that anyone could not believe in a power higher than themselves.]

Nibs said Cat created everything and Nibs does not lie so if that is true and we believe in Cat we shall be called Catlicks. And if we are Catlicks we shall go to Boodocky when we die, but if we are bad we will burn in the hot deserts of New Mexico forever.

thank you, i have never been much on the holly roller scene but, i do believe there is a god that we will all answer to and that that god, yes, is the same god that people have been killing each other over for centuries, all because of the way i believe is the right way and yours is the wrong way, one of the most sacred things we are taught is, thou shalt not kill, and yet day after day people die for the way they believe, how sad that is,.
