I have decided to write some of my own personal beliefs about god. I have also answered 2 questions a lot of people have.
I belong to no religion, god exists outside of religion and doesn’t need religion to dictate what is real or true and what isn’t. There are a lot of different religions, and different views of each religion, look at how many different forms of Christianity there are. Religions do hold a lot of answers yes, whether they're the right answers or not, nobody knows, but I do know that each religion contradicts the other and interprets god and the bible in different ways, then every follower of that religions believes in that one way.
God exists outside of religion, he is a completely separate entity from any religion. You don’t have to be a part of Christianity, Judaism, Muslim or anything else in order to have god with you, and be there for him. It’s not as complicated as that. All god asks of each of us, is to be good, do good things and help others, show love and compassion, don’t do anything wrong. Everyone knows in their own hearts right from wrong, good from evil, as long as you chose to do what is right that is all god wants from each of us. There are however a lot of other things that we can do in order to please god other then just being good, I will talk about that later for anyone who is interested.
If you truly want god as a part of your life, but your struggling with your faith or just have too much doubt then you can speak to me, but the best person to ask for help is god himself. Before you talk to me or anyone else, pray to god, and ask him to help you, pray with your heart mind and soul, ask him to come to you and help you and he will. Before you ask him, it is a good idea to pray for forgiveness, I’m not talking about the Christian form or anything like that. Ask him to forgive you for all of the wrong things you have done, think about them and be sorry for them, its not good apologising if you’re not truly sorry in your heart, if you are truly sorry for your wrong doings then he will forgive you and you will be closer to him. A lot of people see themselves as being unworthy of gods love, and forgiveness, but it is not up to them to decide if they're worthy or not, it is gods choice to make, and if someone is truly sorry for their sins then they are worthy of forgiveness.
I’m now going to answer 2 main questions that a lot of people have, these answers come from no religion or religious sources.
- If there is a god why is there so much suffering in the world?
This is a long answer, and there are a few answers so read it all.
Yes, god does have the power to stop any and every evil from happening in the world, so why doesn’t he? Have you ever stopped to think that the majority of evil in the world comes from humans? If god prevented every evil act done by every human, where would the human race be? We wouldn’t have free will, and we would all be completely dependant on god, wouldn’t we? God wants each and every human to chose to do the right thing from their own free will, he wants us to be good by our own choice, god wants this more then anything and it does pain him greatly when a human commits an evil act, but he wants all humans to chose to do what is good and right by themselves. How can this happen if he is stopping every bad thing from happening?
If god stopped every bad thing from happening he would have to reveal himself to the world, he would have no choice. Now ask yourself this, if god reveals himself to people, do you think people will chose to be good, and chose to do the right thing BECAUSE it is the right thing to do, or do you think people will do this because they don’t want to be punished, or they have no choice, or they want to please god? God doesn’t want people to choose good over evil for these reasons, he wants people to choose good over evil because they want to be good, in their hearts they want to be good and do what’s right, and not for any other reason.
If the victim of an evil act remains good and true to themselves, god will love that person even if the victim strays from god, which also brings me to question 2. Don’t blame god for it though, don’t stray from god, it was the fault of the person who committed the evil, not the fault of god, and if you read all of the above you can see why he was unable to prevent it, and hopefully you can understand this, if you cant understand then open your mind to and ask god.
2. Will good people go to hell simply for not believing in god or asking for forgiveness, even if they have been wonderful good people all their lives, will god send that person to hell simply because s/he didn’t believe in god, or didn’t ask for forgiveness?
This question saddens me, because it is a huge myth spread by Christianity, and this alone turns so many people away from god, it turned me away from god too, to think that he could send a wonderful human being to suffer for all eternity, just because that person didn’t believe in god. God exists outside of any religion, EVERYONE on the planet has VERY different beliefs. God is not stupid, at all in the slightest. Do you really think that god is going to send every Buddhist, or Hindu, or people who don’t believe to hell, just for their beliefs? Do I even have to answer this question? Think about it yourself. God is a part of no religion and is a completely separate being from religion, ask yourself if god is stupid.
