Why should I care if the guy wants to enjoy a joint or two in his private life? It's his freakin' life for goodness sake's. I could understand the hoopla if the drug in question were cocaine or heroin, but as he clearly does not look like either addict, he can do what he wants when he isn't competing for the Olympics. Besides, if I seem to remember the story correctly, it was one, not several, and he was doing it to relax like a lot of other people who smoke it do. Leave the guy alone.

    No, I know this story is old and irrelevant but I don't care at all.

    I wish they made a popsicle shaped like phelps.....

    I would love to lick that all over!

    What's wrong with smoking it at the Olympics. It is not a stimulant. Not sure how he'd smoke it while he's swimming but where there's a will,,.



    It should be an Olympic event really.

    Ok, I am a swimmer. Not an olympian by any stretch. But swimming is an EXTREMELY rough sport. There is no such thing as "off-season" like other sports. I would totally do the same thing if I was an olympian because I can not imagine the stress! Besides, pot is legal in most countries...

      Yeah, just not in this backward country, lol! I hear you on the difficulty of the sport. I swim laps military style in the summer, so I can relate to him doing this once in a while. I've never been on a team though where my laps had to be timed, though.
