No Defences

Lots of people naturally enough use their self-image to make a pattern of defences to be able to fend off aspects of life which they feel they are either not prepared to deal with, or aren't empowered in themselves to comprehend. It is a complexity of personality.

They say there are two kinds of people, introverts and extroverts. There are some who believe extroverts get more from life, including longer lives compared to introverts. Whether this is true I cannot really comment since I am inexperienced in so much of life.

I hope I have enough charity of heart to not read words and think them offensive straight off. I hope I employ a GOD-given altruistic demeanor in my responses to people, certainly I do remember what my rabbi said to me about consideration.

I do not build a wall around me to keep out the impressions of others because the only way to understand more about people is to meet them at face level in an honesty which defences I believe undermine.
