It Took Me Awhile to Get That ...

It took me awhile to get that practice down but it's completely worth it.  I'm one of those people pleasing types and I found out that it just makes everyone else but me happy with absolutely no recognition.  So one day I stood up and stopped being everyone's doormat.  I'm not saying I feel no remorse when I let people down entirely.  And it really helps other put priorities on what they feel is really important.

I too have trouble saying that little word "no". Such a small word with such a huge consequence and meaning. Allowing those to walk on me and take advantage at times when I'd rather not. I have finally reached the point in my life ,far, far over due to take the chance ,the risk, to say that mighty word.
