I Don't Know.

For the past couple days I've watched and read so much about the government. lol, for you at home, the American government. I can't get it in my head that we are getting better. I never once voted for Bush, nor would I ever, but I am not sure we've learned. There is so much here, and we are still being fondled with visions of Paris Hilton or Britteny Spears that we miss the real news of what is happening in the country and the world, but I haven't talked to anyone that is concerned about Hilton or Spears other than our news reporters. We can't seem to be able to trust our media...

The sad part is I can't see any better from the Democrats. The front runners seem to be bought out before they hit the office. Clinton is bought and paid. I read articles on how she was after the gaming industry for mature games. She fined and went after a software company that as a programmer I know has nothing to do with the mature material. I don't agree with Obama I had an NPR radio show I listened to with him and he said something about running or not running and then did what he said he didn't like. Long story, but I don't trust him anymore. I here there are others running, but I have no idea what they stand for. I'm just totally lost on what to do to make this better. I'm almost ready to vote on a farmer with no experience. That is how we started. you know, someone that I know has balanced a checkbook before. Knows what it is like to drive yourself to a grocery store and pay for something. It really doesn't seem too much to ask does it? As I've traveled around the world, I've had to apologize. I'm tired of apologizing.

I read now August 9th a new law was passed to allow wire taps without a judge. Guantanamo Bay is holding over 400 prisoners without a reason other then is sounds good. Not only that, but the government can listen in on the conversations for the prisoners to their lawyers.

We are no longer a leader of morals in this world. According to the world, we are not for human rights. We have become so much (even more than before) an isolationist county. Is it because the UN isn't important? Is it controlled by our enemies? Or can it be much simpler than that, war doesn't promote human rights.

Then it doesn't stop there. In the country we can be harassed for not believing in the war and think it is wrong. We get asked, do you want to win the war in Iraq?
There are some attacks just for beliefs. It shouldn't matter beliefs. That is what is suppose to make this country great. You can be for and love America, and still not like the current direction of the government.

"Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists." - George W. Bush

There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare. - Sun Tzu

Now on the same token, we are finding Russian planes.
There was a collation of countries helping out Iraq.

Even then I'm still not sure it means war. This would have been so much better. We had other options that could have been discussed.

So, I don't know. I don't want war. I don't like being lied too. I can't figure out who to trust. As Bill O'Reilly said we are depressed. It is because we don't have out champion. No one to fight for us. I keep thinking someone is going to stand up and say hey, the Declaration of Independence is a great document and is law, but what good is law when the average person is the only one that has to adhere to it?

Why are we so quiet? No one seems to be speaking to us, or at least for us. No one is speaking for the imprisonment of people without charges.  Where is our Martin Luther King Jr. that said let us not drink from the cup of bitterness and hate. Where is our Kennedy that said the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Fought so hard to not start a war with Cuba and in effect Russia... We have no real anti war songs like John Lennon's Imagine, CCR - Who'll stop the rain or Buffalo Springfield. The only thing I heard was the Dixie Chicks and they were banned for free speech. Instead of not listening we have to take them off the shelves and burn them. Burn them... Does that strike a cord in anyone else? Doe anyone else remember in the world's history of a group of people burning books because they didn't agree with what they said? I'm not scared of terrorists. I'm scared of Americans being afraid.

I just don't know...
