That Ring Around My Finger.

I have a concrete ring. An artist friend made it for me. It is completely unique to me.

I would say that I never leave the house without it, but that would be a lie. I try never to leave the house without it. When I do, all I can think about is where I might have left it. Is it on the bathroom vanity? Is it on the kitchen counter? Is it on the coffee table? The kitchen table?

It really doesn't have any "value" in the monetary sense. I couldn't trade it for my freedom should I be stuck in some Russian Gulag a la James Bond Cold War tales. It wouldn't pay the rent. It just has meaning to me. It is part of me. It is part of my uniform. It is almost as it is a little tiny piece of armor -- like that of a knight -- to keep me safe and to keep me grounded.

I don't leave home without it. Well, almost never at least.

I know my wedding ring is like that, well I never take it off and I mean never. If I do, I know for a fact I would loose it. Already lost two really good watches my hubby bought for me and I said no more that is it, I don't need to tell the time.

One watch, I left in the toilet in public shopping mall, not even five minutes, viola, gone, the cleaner said nope gone. I thought fxxxx that day I thought that. Then I thought, I wonder who stole it bloody bxxxxx, that was really expensive and I bet they go and hock it or sell it or something.

Anyway, it wasn't the money or anything but knew it meant a lot to me and hubby, special and they would just treat it like trash. Anyway, that was the second one, never again! I don't even wear a watch, I think that means you clocking it all the time and I gotta say, my life is much more enjoyable.
I still loose cards though, those atm cards now they are hard to keep! I have replaced god knows how many hehe, must be girl thing, my friends do the same.

Jake it's good to see you have us thinking. The ring you wear carries sentimental values,
I sometimes wear a corded necklace....will share my story later

I never leave home without my identification. That's the law.
I used to take my rock pet, Bean, with me everywhere, and take his picture at cool sites and doing fun stuff. He is sitting on the windowsill looking at me right now. He is wearing his leathers and a pirate stocking cap. He has been my rock for a long time.
I don't take him with me much anymore, and I can't think of a good reason why not. I should start taking Bean out again. He looks bored.

True. I have two rings I put on my left thumb and whenever I leave home without them, which is very, very rare, I just don't feel right.

I have a rock in my purse or pocket at all times due to sentimental value. I also wear this one blue necklace all the time and never take it off. It means a lot to me and a toe ring for the same reason. I wear it even under socks.
