"did I Ask You???"

I have trouble taking advice when it sounds like a command.
Eg:
Me: I feel so tired, I could just come home from work today.
Other: Stay at work and finish!

Argh! Stuff like that makes me start to bubble inside. I don't care if you give your opinion. But say that IT'S YOUR OPINION and don't make sound like a demand or a judgement. It's the quickest way to get me to not listen. I'm direct and if I really want someone's advice I'll ask for it or ask, "What is your opinion on the matter?"

I'm the very same. I hate being ordered to do things, especially when it's said in a condescending, talking-down kind of tone. Unfortunately, I live with someone who barks orders at me like this, and if I don't do what they say, my mother verbally abuses me about it for days or weeks.
The way I'm spoken to by this ***** makes my blood boil, mostly because I can't tell the guy to shove it and leave me alone. My mother's wrath is probably worse than the order-barking because she has a lot of mental stamina...as said before, she can carry on about something for weeks, months, and even years.
I hate hearing about what he feels like I *need* to do with my life...he talks like he knows what's best for me and that his opinions are facts, and since he's a retard, showing blatant disinterest in what he has to say does not work. Ugh.
