I Grew Up On a Farm But I Still Hate Milk

Some people don't like milk. I am one of those people and if it were not for my osteoporosis paranoia I would NEVER drink milk. Now that is milk, but I love dairy.  Give me cheese, yogurt, ice cream any day and I will love you dearly.  Dairy products do not always love me however, and as I notice my yogurt, cheese, and milk intake starting to dwindle due to tummy aches I start to freak out about getting enough calcium and the paranoia sets in and I have to look for alternatives so that I can enjoy my dairy. They now make more than milk in lactose free varieties; yogurt, frozen yogurt, cheese, and cottage cheese now come in lactose free choices.  Additionally I can stomp out my osteoporosis fears by eating bok choy, tofu, kale, white beans, or molasses.  Additionally orange juice is fortified with good old calcium these days.  I can get my calcium without having to drink nasty milk in many ways and if I can’t get it through my food I can always pop a bill.  Calcium is a readily available vitamin and I take full advantage of it. I hope to never be that woman that is slumped over that I feel sorry for on the bus because she can’t just tilt her head back and relax due to the hump on her back.  If it comes down to me getting that hump and drinking straight cow boobie juice then I will drink it, but otherwise pass me the freaking tofu please.

I like tofu desserts too.

Sadly, I'm lactose intolerant so I can't have strawberry milk any more. Which, now that I think about it, doesn't sound all that good anymore. <br />

However, I'm really digging ice cold Chocolate Soy Milk and soy yogurt, which is hard to find.
