k, I understand the need to carry your stuff and being prepared. I carry a backpack still even though I am almost 30 and I always have some things I know I might need like medications, wallet, a hat if it gets cold, water bottle, and some food because I am celiac and can't find it easily but I DO NOT understand the whole culture around handbags. The handbag parties, the need to spend more than some people spend for rent on something that will be out of style according to those style shows in no time. I think they sort of represent the whole overly wasteful ultra-materialistic consumer problems we face and I am shocked that they are still a thing with so many other things in the world. I know this is perhaps an over-reaction and my sister-in-law likes them but she makes them herself and I have made a few for her when I am sewing or knitting but I think that there is a serious problem when people are willing to spend what they spend for something that could essential be done with a shopping bag.
Ok, I will step off of my soap box now. :D
