No! No! Not That! Not The Telephone! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Yes, I freak out. When my cell phone rings, I shudder to answer it. Even more so the house telephone. Actually, any phone ringing makes my tongue stick in my throat.

Besides the fact that I sound weird in real, over the phone is just… weirder. People mistake me for being my sister or my mother – that’s if I don’t say my name when I answer. Or they have no idea who I am and as me “Are you serious?” when they want to confirm they’re speaking to me. -_-

Sometimes the connection is really bad here and for some or other reason, people always call me at the times when the connection is bad: e.g: raining, thundering, ect. And then it’s a real bugger to find a place in their house or wherever they and a place wherever I am, where we don’t get cut off all the time. Once I said “Pardon?” almost every 10 seconds because of how I was shaking. The phone would never stay by my ear – it kept on jiggling up and down and left and right and I couldn’t hear properly because the speaker was… usually never by my ear properly. *sigh-sigh*

I can speak to someone over webcam, sure! I don’t mind looking at the person and speaking to them. Or, I mean, speaking in real life is also fine. Hehe, like, ja, I don’t mind that. I guess. With some people. ^^ I just can’t speak on phones without feeling anxious. Speaking on phones plus I are not very good friends. At all.

Well, better to put down and carry on with your job than be constantly pestered and fired. =/

Well. I won't be shy but frankly I work at a motel. This morning some lady called the office phone. I had to answer because it part of the job. She said something about terminal. What terminal? She doesn't make any sense. I had asked some questions. I can't really understand her at all because she has very thick Eastern Indian. I finally figure out what she was saying. She kept going on again. I said We are not interested. I hang up... I know I'm being rude but I don't like those people keep bothering us. This is not first time...

Wish I could do that. -_-

About 95% of the time I just let the machine get it and then I decide if I want to call them back or not...

Thank you, welshbabe! I'm glad we're not the only two that feel like this. =O

And we'll try to get me to pronounce Slovak words. =D
