I Don't Like Talking On the Phone
I really don't like talking on the phone.
I wont answer my phone. I'll let it go to voice mail. I definitely don't just chat on a phone. If I have to use one I am on and off as quickly as possible.
I also play conversations in my head all the time. So if I have to be on the phone with someone I will go through exactly what I'm going to say. Even given the call will be short I spend a disturbing amount of time doing this in preparation.
I have even written down on paper what I need to say so I don't freeze up and forget the points I need to deliver. I have gone so far as to write whole sentences out. Sometimes I will scratch them out and rewrite them if I don't like the way it sounds as I read it over and over.
I can easily spend hours planning a call that will last 2 minutes. Like I said, I really don't like talking on the phone.
