Or Should I Say "i Hate To Depend On Others"

I've always been self-sufficient, even when I was a little girl. My parents could leave me all by myself playing in the living room and do their own stuff and I didn't really need their attention. I could always find something to do and could manage on my own. Same is now.
And even more. I hate to be dependent on someone. I've experienced lots of let-downs by friends and co-workers. I don't say I don't trust absolutely anyone. I'm saying I can't stand to be dependent of someone. I like to do whatever I want when I want and on my conditions.
In order to do that I built my career in such a way and climbed the corporate ladder pretty fast to earn as much as I do now to have means to live my life on my terms.
I've seen examples in my friends' lives when their husbands or wifes abused their position and manipulated their spouses and sometimes friends.

So not to end up in such situation I learn to do things on my own. And if I come across abuse of authority, I learn to work my way around it to still get want I want/need or do my job properly.
