I Don't Like Tv
When used in the right way, I think that TV could be awesome. I love watching documentaries, true life stories (such as ones fea and occasionally even indulge in a sitcom or two. But when I step back and look at what dominates TV air time it makes me sick to think of all the people that fill their days doing nothing but watch. Everything seems so shallow and once people watch too much of it, they begin to think that it's real. Eventually it becomes hard to know reality from fantisy and people start thinking like the TV has taught them to.
If you don't believe me then the next time you watch TV, look for a deeper meaning behind the story and tell me if you can find one. Try and relate to the characters on a personal level and tell me if you haven't seen the same character displayed over and over again only in different settings.
In short (haha) TV isn't bad in moderation but has done little to enrich my life. It has gotten to the point where I can barely even stand to turn it on without feeling disgusted and drained of all human intelligence. I could go on with this rant for much longer, but I think I have come close to making my point.
It's fine in moderation but remember, garbage is garbage no matter how pretty you make it look. Remember that the next time you watch the Bachlor.
