You Are So Much More Than Numbers On a Scale.

In a world were body image is highly overrated, women can become obsessed with the number on their scale. But did you know that your scale could really be off!?

I say throw that scale out and watch your body for signs of wear and tear. If you need to tone a few areas then do so. But go for a healthier body shape as opposed to weight. Your body will want to be a certain weight anyway, so don't spend you whole life fighting it. Wear whatever pant/clothing size you feel most comfortable in. Many things are made overseas where the people are classically smaller, ie: China!! HELLO! Plus, you will have fat days and thin days. Then you can cheer yourself when you can fit into those skinny jeans. I also buy jeans with some stretch in them, especially in the buns and thighs. Then I don't feel like I'm being compacted.  There is that feeling that only jeans can give you, its a wrapped up, warm feeling that sometimes you just need.

Another way to stay trim that some people swear by is to only eat when you feel your stomach growl. Always eat a little something at the start of your day, whatever time that may be. Otherwise drink water or something comparable. Water keeps you looking young and detoxifys the body. It can really help you lose weight. Sometimes you are thirsty but your brain tells you that you are hungry. So try drinking an 8oz glass of water and see if you are still hungry. Water is not the enemy!!!

I think I weigh around 163 and I am 5'5". Now this is technically 'overweight' from a clinical standpoint. But you know what? I like the way I look. I exercise enough to tone my tummy and go from there, maybe some squats to tone my bottom. I don't care about the number on a scale, it's only one more thing to obsess about.

Love the body you are in and do what you have to do to stay healthy. Don't ever worry about what your scale says..throw it out! Don't worry what someone else has to do for their body, they are not you. You will grow to love yourself if you take an individualized manner to care for you. And for God's sake splurge when you want to, at least once a month. You deserve it.

And remember what Happy Bunny says   "Exercise hard, eat healthy..die anyway!"
