I used to have an account on Twitter. Twice. I called my followers Twitterbugs and would give inspirational tweets. Not anymore though. It seems to be a targetboard for bullying, teasing, cultic following, etc.

I prefer to try to be friends with the people who follow me online and who I follow. Hard to do in a world where one of the top competitions others have with each other is who has more followers, thereby making you a network statistic and not a person with feelings.

The first time I deleted my Twitter, it was after another girl made fun of me with her friends in another language, as though I couldn't understand her. I clicked the link even though I knew it'd lead back to me cause it was my name and lo and behold, my profile showed up.

I made another account much later. Some guy had made fun of my inspirational tweets and made a mockery of it. I deleted it later. To this day, no more Twitterville for me. Sorry to say goodbye to my Twitterbugs but my emotional health means more to me than having a fan base. I can't help others til I help myself.
